How to install Citrix Receiver for ELN on MacOS

1. Surf to www.citrix.com and click on "Downloads". Select 'Citrix Workspace app' from the dropdown list and click "Go" 2. Citrix Workspace app is downloaded and unzipped. Double-click on the dmg file. 3. Install the package and follow the screen installation. 4. You’ll need your user password to accomplish the installation. 5. At the end of the process, uncheck ‘Open Citrix Dazzle now’ and press ‘Continue’. The Citrix Workspace app is successfully installed. 6. After the successful installation, go to the Citrix Portal (https://storefront.vib.be) where you should see the 'ELN 2014' icon. 7. Make sure the Citrix receiver plugin is allowed in your browser (Safari, Firefox, ...) in order to launch ELN. 8. When you click on "ELN 2014", the file "launch.ica" will be opened by Citrix Workspace app.

How to map local drives to Citrix on MacOS

In order to make your local drives (e.g. hard disk or local network drives) available to your Citrix environment, you have to change the 'System Preferences' of the Citrix client. 1. Open the System Preferences by clicking on the apple symbol in the upper right corner. 2. Click on the icon of Citrix Online Plugin. 3. Select the tab ‘Devices’. 4. In order to add your local network drives to the ‘mapped drives’, click on the “+”-sign below the Mapped Drives table. 5. Browse to the network drive and select the drive label (e.g. X). 6. For a successful mapping, you have to be connected to the network drive before launching the System Preferences dialog. 7. Check the box 'ON' and change the Read and Write options to 'Always' 8. If you want to access your hard drive, change the Read and Write options for the '/Users/<username>' entry to 'Always'.

How to access local/network drives on MacOS
1. The local drives can be accessed via the Import/Export dialog of any Office, PDF and Image section. 2. In this dialog, you can access the local drives via ‘My Computer’. 3. Your local hard disk will be: ‘C$ on Client (V:)’. 4. A local network drive will be: ‘JC on ‘Volumes\... (X:)'.
