How to grant somebody access to my project/notebook/experiment?

If that person is someone in your lab group, then you can do this yourself. If not, mail eln@vib.be with what and with who you want to share data. 1. Select the object you want to share (any level) 2. Right click and select "Collections Properties" 3. Go to the second tab called "Collection Security" 4. At the bottom you click "Grant" 5. Select the user or user group you want to grant access (use folder-up button to navigate) and click "Continue" 6. Click "Grant" and then "Close" 7. The person/group you chose should appear in the box "Assigned Access Privilege" 8. Select the person and choose if he/she has Read, Read and Write or Full Control access to your data.

How to copy/paste text when Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V doesn't work?
Make sure you regional setting are correct: Control Panel - Region and Language => Format: English (United Kingdom). 1. Instead of Ctrl+C, you can use Crtl+Insert 2. Instead of Ctrl+V, you can use Shift+Insert

How to delete a project/notebook/experiment?
Deleting data from E-Notebook is not possible (security measures). You can however delete them if they were never filled with data in the first place, but that is the only exception. You can however delete everything inside an experiment and 'recycle' it. The experiment itself can never be deleted once it has a history track.

How to export all my ELN data?
There is no total export function in ELN. You can export an experiment in Word- of PDF-format, but this is not possible with a notebook or project. We advice you to collect a copy of your ELN data by exporting every experiment once finished.

How to end my previous sessions in ELN?
Launch ELN and select Tools - Session Manager. You get a list of all open sessions for your user (there should be 1 line). If you want to close previous sessions select it and click End Session at the right bottom.
