Installing Strawberry Perl and Padre in Windows

You can install DWIMP, a package that includes Strawberry Perl, Padre and some other useful stuff, all in one. Start a Web browser and go to http://dwimperl.com/windows.html. Then "Download" the file Dwimperl-5.xxx -32.exe.

Start the installer application you just downloaded (e.g. by clicking on it from the Windows Explorer), go through all the steps and accept each time the defaults.

To convince yourself that it installed well, type padre in a "DOS box" or search for "Padre, the Perl IDE" in the menu of your Windows.
