Exercise 15a: Changing plots in Prism

In Exercise 13: Scatter plot in Prism we created a scatter plot of the babies data set. Transform this plot into the following plot:
As you can see the individual data points in the plot are labeled with an ID. In column and XY tables, row titles can be used as data point labels.
Insert row titles to allow for annotation of the points on the graph. |

Go to the table containing the data for the scatter plot. Normally, row titles should be visible. if this is not the case, you can ask Prism to show them:
You can copy row titles from the id column in the original babies table and paste them in the transformed XY table containing the data of the scatter plot:
Now you can label each point with its row title:

Change the format of the symbols on the plot. |

In the Show symbols section of the Appearance tab of the Format Graph window make the following selections:
Click OK and this will generate the requested plot. |
